Local Opportunities include:

A local old age home needs your help for Shabbos davening once a month. They require someone to lein, to lead davening and people to make up the minyan. If you are interested in this big mitzvah please contact Rabbi Brandeis.
 

Friends of the Sick - are looking for paid volunteers to act as carers for their patients who are incapacitated because of poor health or old age. If you have a few spare hours during the week  and would like to do a mitzvah as well as earn some money you could become a carer to  their Jewish patients  who are based all over NW London.  You will need to have a cheerful and pleasant personality, be caring and considerate, and willing to help others. They will pay £7 per hour +£2 towards transport costs per day per client. You will need to have a CRB check. For further details email info@friends-of-the-sick.org.uk or call 020 7435 0836.
