(Gifts for the Poor) can be given to c/o Rabbi Kirsch in the JLE until 11am on Purim, Friday 26 February. Between 11am and 1pm you can also drop it off at 29 The Drive NW11
Alternatively you can give Matanos Le'evyonim online by transferring money to BSD Charitable Trust, Charity Number 1056330. Bank Details are Barclays Bank, Sort Code 20-95-61 A/C no 50778206 - specfying that the money is for Matanos Le'evyonim
Before Attending Megillah Readings please

Ensure you, and your household are totally symptom free of Covid-19

Check with Government Regulations that it is safe for you to be going out. Currently, legislation does not recommend attendance by those over 70, with prior health conditions or having been recognised as vulnerable.

Should you wish to join us for Megillah readings pre-booking is essential. Please note, priority booking will be given to synagogue members. There will be a security guard at all times, who will require your name before allowing entry.

If you are attending with other members of your household bubble please detail in the comments box in the booking form.

Please be aware that ALL children (including those under 12) can now come for any tefillah but they must be accompanied by, and supervised by an adult at all times.

In line with government guidance, there will be additional ventilation including open windows. Please bear this in mind and come dressed appropriately as windows will remain open at all times.

We strongly recommend bringing your own Siddur / Chumash / Learning Material.
When You Come into JLE

Entry to the JLE will only be through the main door on Golders Green Road.

Exit from the JLE will only be through the back door via the rear stairs.

We insist that all visitors use hand sanitiser on entry. This is available throughout the building.

To protect the community and each other all attnedees will be required to wear face coverings in the JLE synagogue

Please avoid any physical contact including shaking hands.

There will be a one-way system in place throughout the building – we ask that this is adhered to at all times.

In line with communal guidance, one should refrain from kissing Mezuzot and Sifrei Torah.

There will be no communal singing or loud chanting, only the Chazan will sing with appropriate PPE as per government guidelines.

The Synagogue has been set up in line with social distancing guidelines. We ask all attendees to maintain social distancing of two metres.

The kitchen will not be in use. There will be individual bottles of water available in the Synagogue.

Although there is temptation to catch up with friends you may not have seen. We ask that you leave the JLE building promptly after the service.
As always, our priority is the health and wellbeing of our members, students and staff. The JLE will review these guidelines every 2 weeks and communicate any changes that are made.
The above guidelines are valid from the 4th July 2020 until further notice.
